Lee Shepherd was a racing hero of mine. He was a Chevy guy, and was only one of few who could beat Bob Glidden when he was his best. But he was killed in a freak accident in practice.

SCCA event

Yesterday the SCCA of Cincinnati had an event at Turfway Park in Florence Kentucky. It was a beautiful day,and there was a good turn out of cars and spectators. Since this was my first SCCA event, I didnt know what to expect.

We arrived after lunch and church, and they were annoucing winners of trophies,and times. I thought we had missed it. So I ask one of the guys just standing around what was going on. And he told me that Round 2 was just getting under way... Perfect.

Well, it might just be time to get Dad's old '84 Fiero out, and go play. We'll see...

NFS Ministries is an attempt for me to discover my Sweet Spot. The saying is from one of my all time favorite movies, Top Gun.

Growing up, I always had dreams to fly at Mach 3 with my hair on fire. But it wasnt to be. I did grow up around some pretty fast cars,bikes,snowmoblies, aircraft. You get the point. I seem to love to go fast. So what's my goal here? I know that there are other speed junkies out there, and we share a common love for fast stuff... But we also have a love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

So find your sweet spot, and we will see where this goes.
